Tampa Theatre opened on October 15, 1926. The theatre was the first commercial building in Tampa to offer air conditioning, which gave the theatre extra appeal during Florida's sweltering summer months. Inside the Tampa Theatre, audiences are transported to a lavish, romantic Mediterranean courtyard replete with old world statuary, flowers, and gargoyles. Over it all is a nighttime sky with twinkling stars and floating clouds. The theatre was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Now Tampa Theatre is managed by the not-for-profit Tampa Theatre Foundation and is a remarkable success story. The Theatre hosts over 600 events a year including a full schedule of first run and classic films, concerts, special events, corporate events, tours and educational programs. Today, Tampa Theatre still operates a Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. The theatre is a Tampa City Landmark, and is a proud member of the League of Historic American Theatres.

The 36"x24" (includes 2" border) archival giclée is printed by a local atelier on acid-free watercolor paper and features rich, saturated colors, deep dark tones, and finely nuanced details. Each museum quality print is inspected and approved by Tim Boatright before being signed and sealed with his embossed artist’s “chop.”

Please note: each piece is printed to order and may take up to three weeks to ship. The print is ready for framing.
